Hello, my name is Erica Pierluissi
My photography journey began in 2004 with 35mm film, medium format Holgas, and homemade pinholes. Hours in darkrooms taught me to slow down and appreciate the nuance of light and shadow. My early exposure to the process of film development continues to inspire my editing process where I often evoke the timeless essence of film.
When I’m behind my lens, I feel truly present, noticing the subtle rhythms and emotions that make each moment unique. My approach is about immersion and connection, allowing each photograph to carry not only the look of a moment, but the story behind it.
For me, photography is a way of capturing the poetry of what is, helping people feel seen and appreciated, and I’m truly grateful for every opportunity to share in your moments with you.
